94 Powerful Words

Remember! When I refer to person in the Godhead in any blog, I am referring either to singular person (one-of-three) or to the collective person (three-in-one) of the Triune.

Let me remind you dear reader, why we are on this tour of consciousness in the Godhead.

Once I determined for myself that Significant Truth # 1 of existence in the box of life is God; thereafter, all thought in this blog has flowed from that determination and will continue to until we conclude our sort-out concerning God and His position, person and importance in life. Even then, whatever subject we peruse subsequently will also inevitably be defined by this Significant Truth #1: God.

Someone might ask, why are we studying God in such depth?

There are many reasons, not the least of which is that it takes a lot of in-depth and ongoing delving into who God is to get to know Him. Next, there is the reason that anyone we love requires an ongoing and in-depth relationship with Him/him/her. My husband would not understand anything less. My daughters would not understand anything less. God does not understand anything less.

The powerful words that rise from the pages when we look at personality in the person of the Godhead are huge justifications in themselves for wanting to know who God is.

Frank, open and friendly! God of the scriptures is frank, open and friendly, people! What powerful words! What a powerful thought!

God, the Godhead of the Triune, is separately and collectively, self-endowed with a frank, open and friendly personality, attentive reader! By His own choice! By His own will! He wants to have a relationship with us, each of us, all of us.

Now, if I had not searched out these truths, dear reader, and put them in this blog, we would not be sharing truths so worthy of great joy on our part (not to brag, just to remind you that the best things in life take EFFORT). So, because of this blog, you may now get that idea of a stern, condemning God out of your mind. And if anyone asks you why you can, you can say at the very least it is because I, your studied-up blogger friend, have read the Bible and told you so.

Next, let me give you an example of how frank, open and friendly looks in scripture.

There are oh-so-many-ways, but let’s look at the picture we see of Jesus in the story of the adulterous woman. To give you some background on this story, the sin of adultery then and now is “incompatible with the harmonious laws of family life in God’s kingdom; and since it violates God’s original purpose in marriage . . . (it therefore) . . .is under God’s judgment (Word Wealth, Spirit Filled Life Bible, p. 1588)”

So when Pharisees brought an adulterous woman to Jesus for condemnation (a “woman caught in adultery, in the very act . . . John 8:4 NKJV”), Jesus said, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first (John 8:7)”. Now that’s straightforward enough, don’t you think dear reader?

And of course, we know that one by one, “convicted by their conscience (John 8:9)”, all those Pharisees then left the room. At this point Jesus says very kindly to the woman, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you (v.10)?” She replies, “No one Lord (v.11).” And Jesus replies, “Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more (John 8:11, NKJV)”.

Frank, open and friendly wasn’t He, dear reader? Not condemning at all. Jesus even uses that exact word—saying, “Neither do I condemn you . . .”

So, once again, believe me, get that idea of a stern, condemning God out of your mind!
