191 “Little I ams”: the Upside and the Downside

So, Dear Reader, to recap what we saw last blog, (before the Fall) little I ams were limited beings from the get go.

And after the fall, real complication of human “beingship”, so to speak, revved up.

The story of human life started great—made in God’s image, gifted with diverse if limited powers, but overseen by the Great I AM personally guaranteeing a positive experience in life: That was the real upside for human beings from the beginning.

But as we all know, by our own choice, we thought we could do it on our own and voila! The Fall. And with that, the downside of being human came on like gangbusters:

No longer was goodness the primal stuff of life.

Dark forces now crowded our experience.

Alone, our back turned on God, we struggled with an assault of unanticipated complications—emotional extremes such as anger, bitterness, violence, hate, murderous impulses, envy, spite and so much, much more.

Erroneous and exaggerated thinking misled and handicapped us.

These now entrenched downsides became the ongoing human experience which we are still experiencing today, through generation after generation of being human.

If only there were a reset button! And there is!

To be continued . . .
