45 Soul Feature #3: Will

Remember! When I refer to person in the Godhead in any blog, I am referring either to singular person (one-of-three) or to the collective person (three-in-one) of the Triune.

The great land of will is our next destination, fellow tour companion.

And we will start with the basics first, of course.

Will is the 3^rd feature of soul in the Godhead: In fact, it is a power feature of the soul.

Definition: Will is defined as “the act or process of volition; specifically (a) wish, desire . . . (b) inclination; disposition; pleasure; . . . command . . . strong purpose . . . the power of self-direction or self-control . . . the power of conscious and deliberate action or choice . . . (Webster’s). Encarta defines the noun, will, in this context as “what a person or group, especially one in authority, wants to happen.

Hebrew N., Râtsôn (Strong’s #7522), pleasure . . . will.

Ratzon Ha´el (His [God’s] will). Emphasis on the second syllable in both words. (Yahoo Answers)

The primary faculty of will in the Godhead is command.

Faculty: (Right) Command

Definition: To call something into being, such as the call to Right Obedience. Right Command as exemplified in the Godhead involves perfect thinking, order, rule, procedure, discipline, understanding and action within and by the Godhead.

Operation: Right command can be seen at work in Right Leadership, Initiative, Good Judgment, Right Choice, Control, Self-Control, Self-Discipline, Self-Restraint or Moderation; for example, to have right command of a situation implies having the situation under right control.

Product: Right Creation, Existence, Action, Consequence, Outcome, Standards, Values, Governance or Excellence.

For example: Genesis 1:1-2a

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep” (NKJV).

Footnotes from the Spirit Filled Life Bible (© 1991, Thomas Nelson, p. 4) on this phrase state:

the earth was without form and void explains that “we are given here the consequence of God’s first creative act—the earth was without form (lacking the order it would have when God’s commands (Râtsôn Ha´el, His will [was]) were complete . . .”

God’s will, His Ratzon Ha´el is a monument of goodness, attentive companion.

It is where He puts all-His-all—His virtue, His energies, His drive, commitment, resolve and determination.

Engraved on this monument of will are His values, His purposes, His plans, His promises.

And when one says, “God’s will be done,” it means “let happen what God wants to happen.”

Ratzon Ha´el be done.
